Aburi Botanical Garden was opened in March, 1890.
The first curator of the Garden was Mr. William Crowther, a student from the Royal Botanic Gardens. He arrived in the Gold Coast(now Ghana) in the year 1890.
Sanatorium was built at the site by then Governor of Gold Coast for convalescing Government officials in 1875.
Aburi Botanical Garden has a lot of trees and flowers.
