Paga Crocodile Pond

Paga Crocodile pond is located in the North-Eastern boarder of Ghana. Crocodiles in Paga Pond are affable and coexist with humans. Paga is considered a sacred crocodile pond.

Crocodiles are regarded as wild creatures, but their friendly relationship with human amaze a lot.

Paga Crocodiles are so tamed that residents swim in the pond alongside them without being harmed.

It is a crime to endanger the lives of this crocodiles.

Paga is 44 kilometers (27miles) outside Bolgatanga.

Paga is said to be a trade center for centuries and closer to the Burkinafaso border. The Westerners used Paga as a gateway to the Gulf of Guinea which points from the North during the period of the slave traders in the mid-1800s.
