Arches National Park is one of the national parks in the world with over 2,000 stone arches. Tourists from all over the world tour the park, to experience the geological features in the world. One of most arches talk about by tourists is the mighty Delicate Arch.
The Arch is the largest free-standing arch in Arches National Park. The Arch was having names such as the “Old Maid’s Bloomers”, “Salt Wash Arch”, “Pants Crotch”, “Marys Bloomers”, “School Marms Pants” and “local cowboys”, as a result of its distinct shape.
The Arch is located in the United States, Utah. It is formed of Entrada Sandstone. As a free-standing Arch, the Delicate Arch is recognized world-wide as a symbol of the state of Utah.
The Delicate Arch is 32 feet wide, and the light opening beneath it is 46 feet high and 52 feet in height. In 1933-1934, the arch was explored by the leader of the Arches National Monument Scientific Expedition. Frank Beckwith, who also ended up giving the current name to the arch. The arch was referred to us Chaps due to its distinctive shape.
With an elevation of 4,606 feet, the Delicate Arch is one of the most impressive arches and with an amazing hike and view.

Banff National Park - Alberta, Canada

Established in 25 November, 1885, Banff National Park, is Canada’s first national park. Situated in Alberta, the park is 1,641,027 acres in size and annually, about 4 million tourists visit the park. The park was established, after a natural hot spring was discovered by three railway workers in the year 1883 on the slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
In order to preserve the natural beauty and the ecological history of the region, there are guidelines set by Parks Canada for all visitors to abide with.

The park is very large and serves as habitat to wildlife such as black bears, Elk, timber wolf, coyote, grizzly bears, red fox, weasel, mountain goat, white-tailed deer, lynx, river otter and many more.
